The Line is an important project for all residents and businesses in Connecticut. When it’s complete, The Line will:

• Improve electric reliability throughout the region.
• Connect customers to more competitively-priced and cleaner sources of electric power.
• Eliminate the millions of dollars in penalties customers pay every year in congestion charges.
• Increase the assessed value of the transmission facilities, thereby adding to town revenues and reducing the local tax burden.
