Stratford
During the 1990’s Stratford’s population increased by 1.2% while its electric usage increased by 13%.

What is there today?
The current overhead right of way is approximately 3.8 miles long and varies in width from 110 feet to 250 feet.

From the Housatonic River crossing to West Devon Junction (located between Forest Road and River Valley Road), the 250-foot wide right of way consists of two rows of lattice structures and one row of H-frame structures (115-kV). The H-frames have a typical height of 63 feet and the lattice structures have a typical height of 80 feet.

From West Devon Junction to the Trumbull town line, this east/west right of way is 110 feet wide and consists of one row of lattice structures with a typical height of 80 feet (115-kV).

From the Trumbull town line to the Bridgeport city line, this north/south right of way is 200 feet wide and consists of one row of lattice structures with a typical height of 100 feet (115-kV).

What are the approved changes?
There are no changes to the existing overhead right-of-way. The line would enter Stratford from beneath the Housatonic River and travel beneath Barnum Avenue and Route 1, exiting into Bridgeport.
